Wilson Outpolls Buchanan on Tuesday
San Ramon, California - In Tuesday's June 8th primary, State Assembly candidate Mayor Abram Wilson received more votes than Liberal incumbent Assemblywoman Joan Buchannan. Wilson earned 1,660 more votes than Buchanan in a district with a democratic registration advantage.
"Earning more votes than our opponent in Tuesday's Primary is a strong indication that voters are unhappy with the way things are going in Sacramento. It is time we send a strong voice for taxpayers and working families to Sacramento. We are working tirelessly to earn the votes of Independents, Democrats, and Republicans." said Matthew Dobler, Abram Wilson's Campaign Manager.
"Receiving 1,660 more votes than Joan Buchanan in a district with just over 14,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans speaks to the strength of our campaign. Our message is resonating and voters know that Abram Wilson is ready for the job on day one," said Dobler.
Wilson is endorsed by Assembly Republican Leader Martin Garrick, Assembly Republican Caucus Chairwoman Connie Conway, Chief Republican Whip Nathan Fletcher, Assemblywoman Diane Harkey and many more.
Mayor Wilson is running to restore fiscal responsibility to Sacramento. In the City of San Ramon where he has been mayor for nearly a decade, budget reserves exceed an unprecedented 50% of the city's budget. The State of California is currently facing a $28 billion budget shortfall.
