San Ramon, California – The Young Republican Federation of California has announced their support of Mayor Abram Wilson for the 15th Assembly District.
"As a young adult, I am concerned for my future as well as the future of our state. Projections show that only 50% of college graduates will get jobs when they graduate – this means that half of the workforce of our generation will be moving to other states to make a living,” said state Y.R. chairman Adam C. Abrahms. “We love California but we can't live in a California where we don't have the opportunity to succeed. Abram Wilson understands the challenges facing young people. In prioritizing job creation, I know that if Mayor Wilson is elected to the Assembly our generation will have more opportunities to create the future that we want and deserve. Supporting Abram Wilson for Assembly 2010 is the right and responsible decision for all Californians - especially young people who want to stay and live in California."
“I appreciate the hard work that the Young Republican Federation puts in to help our party and particularly the great job they do getting young people involved in politics and public service,” said Wilson. “I am proud to have their support.”
Mayor Wilson is running to restore fiscal responsibility to Sacramento. In the City of San Ramon where he has been mayor for nearly a decade, budget reserves exceed an unprecedented 50% of the city’s budget. The State of California is currently facing a $28 billion budget shortfall.
